Nestled in the green, rolling landscape of the PErigord Noir, St Rabier is a typical village of the French countryside, offering a peaceful and authentic atmosphere.The municipality is hosting the festival Le Printemps dans lOreille for the second year in a row. This event highlights local musical talent by giving mostly amateur bands the opportunity to perform on stage under professional conditions.By bringing together artists, programmers, and cultural stakeholders, the festival creates a genuine space for exchange and collaboration, encouraging networking and opportunities for everyone. With free admission (pay-what-you-can), it invites the public to discover an eclectic program and to support the musicians who bring life to the region.You will help the association and its volunteers prepare the festival. Through this experience, you will discover the warm hospitality of the local population and the energy they put into making this event a joyful celebration. You will also explore a territory rich in history by organizing, together with the other volunteers and the group leaders, your own program of activities.

工作 / WORK

Between 15 and 20 hours per week will be dedicated to preparing the musical event.During the first week, you will take part in setting up the marquees and arranging the spaces dedicated to welcoming artists and volunteers: installing lighting, decorations, etc. You will also support the kitchen team in preparing meals for the whole volunteer team. During the three days of the festival, you will assist the volunteers in various roles: welcoming artists and the public, assisting the kitchen team, manning the crEpe stand, supervising the childrens area, and of course you will be able to attend the many concerts and street performances The second week will be devoted to dismantling the structures and cleaning and tidying up the site. A special moment with all the volunteers is planned to celebrate together the success of this collective project.

住宿和食物 / ACCOMODATION AND FOOD

You will be accommodated in a shared holiday cottage. Sleeping arrangements will be in rooms of 2 to 3 people. Meals will be cooked and shared collectively; you will take turns preparing tasty dishes, so feel free to bring your favorite recipes.

St Rabier is located in the PErigord Noir, 10 km from the Lascaux caves, between PErigueux and Brive.Site visits and nature-based activities are planned. Together with the group leaders and other participants, you will build your own activity program. We prioritize discovering the territory and its local actors over consumer-oriented activities.

Solidarités Jeunesses

Solidarites Jeunesses works alongside a number of partner organisations world-wide, exchanging volunteers and organising international solidarity projects. The association has been the French branch of Youth Action for Peace till 2009, a movement created after the First World War in order to reconcile people of different nationalities through a better mutual understanding. National Solidarites Jeunesses is a national youth organisation, recognised by the French Ministry of Youth and Sport. Our national headquarters are situated in Paris. We organise short and longer-term international youth volunteer workcamps and voluntary services, projects with people from disadvantaged areas, training sessions, and international solidarity projects. We also manage rural residential and community centres. Regional Solidaites Jeunesses is composed of 7 regional delegations: Ile-de-France, Franche-Comt�, Languedoc-Roussillon, PACA, Auvergne, Poitou-Charentes and Midi-Pyrenees. Moreover it cooperates with partners in the regions of Bretagne, Lorraine and with La Crois�e des Regards in the region PACA. Workcamps The international workcamp is a very important part in the action undertaken by Solidarites Jeunesses. It is prepared a long time in advance in the different regional offices and the National Secretariat. The international workcamp, open to volunteers of any age, is seen as a tool of local and personal development, tolerance and understanding between the different participants. Furthermore, we lay emphasis on the inclusion of people coming from disadvantaged areas. The workcamps promote the active participation of the local population.
