LeEn, Guanajuato is home to a rich diversity of indigenous cultures, includingPurEpecha, WixEUrika (Huichol), Nahua, Mazahua, Triqui, HE EhE u (OtomE), Tzotzil,Mephaa (Tlapaneco), and Na Savi (Mixtec) communities. Despite their cultural, social, and economic importance, many indigenous people living in urbanareas continue to face significant challenges related to economicmarginalization, social exclusion, and discrimination. As a result, their presenceand contributions often remain invisible within the city. The challenges affecting indigenous peoples are complex and deeplyinterconnected. They stem from historical marginalization and structuralneglect and are further intensified by contemporary issues such as climatechange, organized violence, and limited access to basic services.
