ClassEe Maison des Illustres, la Maison Elsa Triolet nous plonge dans lunivers des poEtes tout en mettant E lhonneur de nombreux artistes contemporains. Leurs (uvres sont exposEes aussi bien dans le musEe que dans lensemble du parc. Chaque annEe, ce lieu accueille un grand nombre de visiteurs. GrEce E lengagement des bEnEvoles, de nouveaux espaces dexposition ont vu le jour, ainsi que des amEnagements destinEs E amEliorer laccueil du public. Ce jardin bucolique est traversE par une petite riviEre qui apporte calme et fraEcheur. La plupart du temps, elle est paisible mais parfois, lors de fortes pluies, elle dEborde Pour protEger la maison des inondations, des batardeaux ont EtE installEs. Aujourdhui, nous avons besoin de toi pour prEserver lharmonie de cet havre de paix. Ta mission consistera E habiller ces batardeaux avec des caissons en bois, que tu fabriqueras E l aide d un encadrant technique. Il tinitiera aux bases de la menuiserie et taccompagnera pas E pas dans la rEalisation. En complEment, tu participeras E lamEnagement dun massif fleuri afin de faire du jardin de la Maison des Illustres un espace encore plus accueillant. Ce projet Evoluera en fonction des besoins de l association et des idEes de chacunI e. Most of the time, it flows peacefully but during heavy rains, it sometimes overflows To protect the house from flooding, flood barriers have been installed. Today, we need you to help preserve the harmony of this haven of peace. Your mission will be to cover these barriers with wooden casings, which you will build with the support of a technical supervisor. They will introduce you to the basics of carpentry and guide you step by step through the process. In addition, you will take part in creating a flower bed to make the garden of the Maison des Illustres even more welcoming. This project will evolve according to the needs of the association and everyones ideas. A wonderful opportunity to get hands-on in an inspiring and friendly setting

ACCOMODATION AND FOOD

Enfin, un appartement avec un salon, une cuisine, des toilettes et deux salles de bain sera mis E disposition.Au-delE des temps de chantier, les bEnEvoles participent ensemble E lorganisation de la vie collective. Souvent rEpartiI eI s en Equipes, ilsI elles Elaborent les menus, participent aux courses, prEparent les repas et sassurent de la propretE des espaces communs. VEritable acteurI ice de ton expErience, tu participeras aussi E la prise de dEcisions concernant les activitEs collectives et lorganisation du quotidien Dans une optique de rEduction de limpact environnemental de nos chantiers, nous privilEgions des menus vEgEtariens, qui rEpondent E tous les besoins nutritionnels des participantI eI s. Le groupe sera constituE de bEnEvoles franEaisI eI s et internationauxI ales. Afin dassurer lintEgration de tout le monde, nous comptons sur toi pour parler anglais autant que possible Volunteers will camp in the park, in individual tents. Our movement (Etudes et Chantiers) was created in 1962 by several Youth movements and follows the idea of non violence and humanism as well as international co operation and exchanges in the Education Populaire movement a French concept for non formal education. We are engaged in the fight against exclusion and in the world wide movement of international voluntary services (short term and long term like EVS) through partnerships with 120 organisations in 65 countries. UNAREC etudes ET chantiers is member of several international networks: CCIVS, the Alliance of European voluntary service organisations...

Our Union is composed by 5 regional associations, with a national secretariat in Paris. Each of them run permanent projects, and they work together on the workcamp programme which is co ordinated by the International Delegation in Clermont Ferrand. Each year we develop in France 50 international workcamps and 50 local inclusion work project, altogether we host 1500 person (volunteers, trainees, inclusion staff), led by over 150 permanent staff and managed by 50 executive board members (active volunteers).
