WAN history of engagement in World Heritage Volunteers campaign started in 2010 when a group of local and international volunteers were led to Idanre Hill to proactively engage themselves in restoration of the archaeological works of traditional value. Locally made trash bins for disposable and waste will be mounted in a conspicuous corner or points of the site and the renowned ancient St. Paul Primary School will be cleared and renovated. Also, a Non Formal Education activities will be conducted with the support of literary materials from CCIVS and WHC in Paris. Volunteers will do self-catering and living together in the camp. Volunteers should be ready to mix up with the community and various youth groups during intercultural sessions.

Accommodation will be provided in a shared mini-apartment with toilet facilities and conveniences provided by the Community within the project. The simple and moderate accommodation will endeavour to provide regular facilities and consumables for use during the project.

Volunteer should be receptive to new cultures, enthusiastic to exchange/learn about environmental issues and shared values. There will be social nights and cultural weekends. Intercultural activities to exhibit different cultural habits will be in vogue. Please kindly come with Music, Games and other local materials to exhibit during the workcamp (if available but not compulsory).
