  • Apadrinaunolivo.org is a non-profit initiative developed by 4 young social entrepreneurs with a marked non-conformist nature at the service of society and nature.The concept:Apadrinaunolivo.org is a model of social and environmental entrepreneurship that involves, through the new technologies, society and companies to transform the abandonment of rural areas.Our solution:A transforming model, from a juridical frame without profit and with a marked social and environmental character that contributes an inspiring and innovative concept when transforming the paradigm of abandonment of the Rural areas. To do this, we empower its inhabitants in the recovery, conservation and enhancement of the abandoned centennial olive grove, generated in those towns involved a sustainable economy with social inclusion.Why do we do it?We reflect in our project the change we want in society. In order that future generations can enjoy our rural wealth, its nature and culture.How we finance ourselves:The Association is financed thanks to the sponsors and sponsors of the whole world who decide to be part of the solution sponsoring an olive tree, for 50 euros per year. We also have the support of companies that adhere to our model of Corporate Social Responsibility, awards and recognitions, as well as possible subsidies from institutions.Our objectives: Generate new actions and thoughts in rural populations, to achieve different results. Recover the abandoned centenary olive grove in the lower Aragon. Conserve and enhance its biodiversity, such as high value olive groves. Expand the impact of the project to other areas, as well as other crops. Generates by means of the value of the olive trees a sustainable economy and ways of development in regions in the process of disappearing.Involve people with intellectual disabilities in the work, with the help of ATADI (Agrupacion Turolense of help to intellectual disability) Enhance carbon capture through the recovery of the olive grove, mitigating the carbon footprint.Are you ready to change the world?Together we will recover and put the abandoned olive grove in value, conserve the biodiversity of the area, while generating the sustainable and social economy that a town like Oliete needs to survive over time.
  • Through this field of youth volunteering, we want to make young people who visit us to live a unique experience recovering the abandoned olive grove, preserve the biodiversity of the area while generating a sustainable and social economy for the people in Oliete so that they can survive in the long-term.Also visiting such amazing places like: San Pedro Chasm, a stunning and unique in Europe nature Chasm 100 meters wide and 100 meters of diameter ending in a tranquil pool. Or Cueva Foradada Dam, on the Martin River, offering many enjoyable afternoons and picnics.

Oliete, located in Aragon (Spain), the province of Teruel and more specifically in the region of Andorra-Sierra de Arcos; notable for its rich Iberian culture and whimsical eccentricities shaped by nature.Apadrinaunolivo.org is recovering the 100.000 abandoned olive trees in Oliete,Teruel through a social entrepreneurship model. Through the new technologies we emotionally connect the urban world with the rural world, by giving to our supporters a unique experience trough ITC. Together we can continue to recover the abandoned olive grove, preserve the biodiversity of the area while generating a sustainable and social economy for the people in Oliete so that they can survive in the long-term.Through this field of youth volunteering, we want to make young people who visit us to live a unique experience by also visiting such amazing places like: San Pedro Chasm, a stunning and unique in Europe nature Chasm 100 meters wide and 100 meters of diameter ending in a tranquil pool. SVI is the Spanish association which represents the Spanish workcamps managed by the Autonomous Regions (except those in Catalonia). We are under the Institute of Youth (Injuve).

Injuve, an Autonomous Department of the Ministry of Health, Social Policy and Equality, has, for some years now, been promoting specific programmes which are aimed at increasing and favouring different travel possibilities for young people. This enables those under 30 years of age to become aware of other realities, visit other places and have access to other cultures.

Included among these programmes is one known as International Voluntary Service (SVI), which deals only with workcamps. These are aimed at youth between 18 and 26 years old and their main objectives are:

- To encourage conduct that will favour the exchange of ideas and young people’s global development. This is achieved by volunteering and from the contributions made by youth from their own experience. This strengthens intercultural learning processes, personal development and the reinforcement of democratic values.

- To integrate experiences, personal knowledge and the global development of youth in the carrying out of an activity, within the framework of voluntary service.
The Youth Institute co-ordinates the exchange of places for young Spaniards wanting to volunteer in foreign workcamps and foreigners wanting to volunteer in Spanish workcamps. The Spanish workcamps are managed by the Autonomous Regions.
