  • - Cleaning and maintenance of the Route of river Granal (signalling, weeding, revitalization of the route). -- Establish a website and a virtual route (mapping, location plan and road profile of the route, QR codes with a geolocation with information about flora and fauna, and interesting points). -- Production of a documentary using drones to take aerial views of the municipality: its title will be Esgos: A Doorstep to the Ribeira Sacra, to exhibit heritage and ethnographic evidences to help its development and enhacemnt. -- Revitalization of the Monastery of San Pedro de Rocas through the dramatization of its history over the course of centuries.
  • Young people staying in the hostel Vilar de Ordelles, consisting of 35 beds, a living room and kitchen, toilets and showers and outdoor recreation area. We have a sport pitch five meters away from the hostel and social premises for conducting activities in the case of rain. Breakfast and dinner will be performed by hostel staff and the lunch by an outside company. -THING TO BRING: -European Health Card or other kind of sanitary or medical insurance -National Identity Card or Passport -Personal cleanliness items -Sleeping bag and a little backpack for routes. -Mountain Boots -Two towels -Warm clothes, waterproof clothes, working clothes, sport clothes, sport shoes and swimming costumes. -Work gloves and cap -Lantern and water bottle -Solar protection and a cap.
  • Swimming pool, archery, orienteering race, sports and traditional games, visit to the hot springs of Outariz, workshop on the traditional wood oven.
  • INTERNAL RULES: To be a volunteer involves: -Working selflessly the hours stipulated on the labour planning, during five days a week. -Cooperating with the leisure time activities plannings development and take part in them. -Contributing towards the workcamps general operation (administration, cleaning, cooking...) Respecting the different believes, ideologies and personal differences among the work camps participants. Staying at the camp during the programmed period. Respecting the internal and "life together" rules: accepting the person in charge instructions, respecting the schedule.

SVI is the Spanish association which represents the Spanish workcamps managed by the Autonomous Regions (except those in Catalonia). We are under the Institute of Youth (Injuve).

Injuve, an Autonomous Department of the Ministry of Health, Social Policy and Equality, has, for some years now, been promoting specific programmes which are aimed at increasing and favouring different travel possibilities for young people. This enables those under 30 years of age to become aware of other realities, visit other places and have access to other cultures.

Included among these programmes is one known as International Voluntary Service (SVI), which deals only with workcamps. These are aimed at youth between 18 and 26 years old and their main objectives are:

- To encourage conduct that will favour the exchange of ideas and young people’s global development. This is achieved by volunteering and from the contributions made by youth from their own experience. This strengthens intercultural learning processes, personal development and the reinforcement of democratic values.

- To integrate experiences, personal knowledge and the global development of youth in the carrying out of an activity, within the framework of voluntary service.
The Youth Institute co-ordinates the exchange of places for young Spaniards wanting to volunteer in foreign workcamps and foreigners wanting to volunteer in Spanish workcamps. The Spanish workcamps are managed by the Autonomous Regions.
