  • Promote the cultural and social environment of Colindres by means of different activities.Approach the socio-cultural entertainment and introduce participants to its practice.Activity techniques and methods which will, subsequently, be developed.Coolaborate in the different youth leisure activities taking place in the municipality.
  • The place of accommodation will take place at Colindres Pilgrim Hostel (Cantabria) sleeping in bunk beds with mattresses in shared rooms. Shared showers with hot water, central heating and activity rooms will be provided.Food:Breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner are included. Alternative menus for justified reasons are also provided. This option must be specified at the time of booking. There will be a picnic in outings and trips.
  • Colindres is a municipality located in the Eastern part of Cantabria in an important crossroads among Santander, Bilbao and Burgos. It is 48 kilometres away from Santander and 6 kilometres away from Laredo, which has a fantastic set of beaches and sand dunes.Colindres is situated in the Ason river mouth, where Treto estuary is formed.Leisure activities:The aim of the complementary activities will be to promote solidarity,cxistence, equality, participation and are as follows:- Animation (evenings, group dynamization, etc.).- Different workshops: on cultural heritage of Cantabria, on equality,aims of sustainable development, etc.- Leisure time activities: Climbing, Surfing, walking trails, etc.- Full day excursion to Santander ( capital of the autonomous community).- Full day beach touristic, cultural or sport excursion.- Day of cxistence with the local community to make the work done visible.

SVI is the Spanish association which represents the Spanish workcamps managed by the Autonomous Regions (except those in Catalonia). We are under the Institute of Youth (Injuve).

Injuve, an Autonomous Department of the Ministry of Health, Social Policy and Equality, has, for some years now, been promoting specific programmes which are aimed at increasing and favouring different travel possibilities for young people. This enables those under 30 years of age to become aware of other realities, visit other places and have access to other cultures.

Included among these programmes is one known as International Voluntary Service (SVI), which deals only with workcamps. These are aimed at youth between 18 and 26 years old and their main objectives are:

- To encourage conduct that will favour the exchange of ideas and young people’s global development. This is achieved by volunteering and from the contributions made by youth from their own experience. This strengthens intercultural learning processes, personal development and the reinforcement of democratic values.

- To integrate experiences, personal knowledge and the global development of youth in the carrying out of an activity, within the framework of voluntary service.
The Youth Institute co-ordinates the exchange of places for young Spaniards wanting to volunteer in foreign workcamps and foreigners wanting to volunteer in Spanish workcamps. The Spanish workcamps are managed by the Autonomous Regions.
